One injured in robbery of money truck in Singburi

Robbers armed with assault rifles opened fire at a money truck in Singburi, injuring a staff and fleeing off with more than Bt4 million in cash Monday afternoon, police said.

 

Police said at least three robbers, who concealed their face with hood, arrived on an Isuzu pick-up truck while staffs of Progress Co Ltd were carrying money bags of the Kasikorn Bank, Inthaburi branch, to the money truck.
The robbers fired at the staffs with AK-47 assault rifles, injuring Thanet Worayanno, 35.
The money truck driver sped off the scene to try to escape from the robbers but they followed in their pickup and opened fire at the money truck, causing it to stop before the robbers could take out the money.
