Sudarat won't run
Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, a core member of Pheu Thai Party, said Monday she would not run as a candidate in the election for Bangkok governor early next year.
She said she wanted to see a “new generation” candidate take the post, as she thought it was essential to develop the country’s potential and competitiveness in the Asean region.
Khunying Sudarat admitted she had approached a person to run in the gubernatorial election, but said that person had not responded. However, she believed the party would be find a suitable candidate.
