Ammunition and explosives found in an apartment building on Bangkok's Panya-Ram-Indra Road on Monday night belonged to a former policeman from Pathum Thani who was arrested during the 2010 political unrest.

Bangkok Police deputy chief Maj-General Parinya Chansuriya said yesterday that the items belonged to Pol Sgt-Major Parinya Maneekhot, who was arrested in 2010 for possession of military weapons.
In a room at the Eua Arathorn apartment building on Monday, police allegedly found documents to hire immigrant workers signed by Parinya Manee-khot in a cardboard box. The deputy chief said additional charges would be filed against the former police officer, who is in custody of the Department of Special Investigation.
Explosive devices and thousands of M16 rounds were found. Serial numbers are being checked in hopes of determining the origins of the weapons.
The deputy chief said this was likely a domestic weapons-trading case rather than a plot to launch an attack. Police also summoned a retired Nakhon Pathom deputy governor, who is listed as the room’s owner, and interviewed the flat’s caretaker and tenant to see if they were involved, but they maintained innocence.
