Children's Day looks forward Asean
The 2013 motto for the National Children's Day is "Uphold Discipline, Enhance Knowledge and Bring Thailand towards Asean."
Thailand will to celebrate the National Children’s Day on January 12. “The activities for the National Children’s Day will be held in line with the motto’s theme,” PM’s Office Minister Sansanee Nakpong said today. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra came up with the motto.
According to Sansanee, the activities on National Children’s Day at the Government House will run from 8am to 3pm.
Sansanee said children aged between six and 14 years old could also join a composition contest. Application and composition forms are available at facebook.com/Thaikhufah and www.Thaigov.go.th. Compositions under the theme of “Good Stories I Want to Share” must be in handwriting and sent to the Secretariat of the Cabinet by post, by fax to (02) 288 448990 or email to [email protected] by January 7.
“There are three categories for contestants in different age groups: six to eight years old, nine to 11 years old, and 12 to 14 years old,” she said.
Twenty 20 successful contestants from each age group will be allowed to join Yingluck in the recording of “Yingluck’s Government Meets People” programme for the instalment that will be broadcast on January 12.
