Two troops injured in Pattani bomb attack
Pattani - Insurgents detonated a roadside homemade bomb to ambush a patrol unit of troops in this southern border province Tuesday night, injuring two of them.
The explosion occurred at 10:30 pm on a road in front of a rubber latex plant in Ban Donrak village in Tambon Donrak of Mueng district.
The two injured troops were identified as Sukree Sulong, 22 and Phanthasak Chualai, 21. They were among eight troops patrolling the road.
Police said the bomb was made of about 20 kgs explosives.
