Swiss man drowns in Pattaya sea
Chon Buri - A 66-year-old man drowned off the Pattaya beach Sunday evening, police said. The body of Hans-Peter Hermann Satamminger, 66, was washed ashore and found on the North Pattaya beach at 3 am Monday.
Police said Satamminger’s Thai wife, Mala Phudejduan, 35, filed a complaint at the Pattaya police station Sunday night that her husband was washed away by a big wave at 6 pm.
Rescuers tried to search for him for hours but called off the search following heavy rains.
