April 30 has been a special day for the Dutch people ever since 1948, when the Queen Mother started her reign. The date is her birthday and has been marked as Queen’s Day ever since. With a King on the throne again, Queen’s Day will become King’s Day.
From 5pm Bangkok time on April 30, a live broadcast “The Inauguration 2013” will be screened at the Royal Netherlands Embassy. More than 1.000 people have been invited to attend. The Netherlands Residence will be decorated on the theme “Fairy Tale Garden Reception”.
