Vietnamese and Cambodian classes at SWU

Vietnamese and Cambodian classes at SWU

Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is organising Vietnamese and Cambodian language classes to boost Thai civil servants' ability and give them a better understanding of neighbouring countries.

SWU Faculty of Humanities Dean Wanee Aujsatid said the Civil Service Commission wanted to boost the civil service’s efficiency and working standard, as well as adjust the civil service’s role and mission to meet world changes, plus develop human resources in the Asean region so people are capable and visionary.
The agency thus assigned SWU to run a project to teach languages of neighbouring countries. The first phase will involve the teaching of Vietnamese and Cambodian languages from September 1-October 26 every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Participants are expected to be able to listen, speak, read and write as well as understand basic grammar. State agencies interested to send officials to such classes should contact SWU on 0-2649-5000 ext.16202.
