Thailand condemns Nairobi mall seizure
The Foreign Ministry issued a statement Tuesday condemning the seizure of Nairobi's Westgate shopping mall by alleged Somalian gunmen and expressed condolences to the families of those killed.
It said: “Thailand is outraged by the many deaths and injuries caused by the terrorist attack on September 21 at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya. The Thai government strongly condemns these acts of terrorism and wishes to express its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of those who have been killed and also extends its heartfelt sympathy to those wounded in the attack.
“The people and the government of Thailand wish to express our solidarity with the people and government of Kenya during this difficult time. Thailand will work with the international community in its continued efforts to fight terrorism to maintain international peace and stability.”
