High-speed train bidding in mid-2014
Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt foresees that the bidding for the first high-speed train project (Bangkok-Phitsanulok) could take place in the middle of 2014.
The project's environmental impact assessment is being appraised. The minister said the EIA of other high-speed train routes would be soon submitted to the environment assessment agency.
The Senate yesterday approved the Bt2 trillion borrowing bill.
The minister reckoned that the trains would suffer huge losses in the first three years.
