NBTC tells mobile phone operators to increase cell sites to accommodate protesters
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has ordered mobile phone operators to increase cell sites in the areas where a lot of demonstrators have to use cell phones at the same time, the secretary general of the NBTC Office said Tuesday
Thakorn Tanthasit, the NBTC Office secretary general, said the office has sent urgent order to all the mobile phone operators to ensure that demonstrators can use their mobile phones with efficiency.
Thakorn said if any provider is found to have blacked out signals in the protest sites, the operator’s license would be suspended.
