56 senators call for sincere talks between govt, opponents

A group of 56 senators Friday called on the government and its opponents to hold talks for a solution for the current political crisis.

The senators included Wicharn Sirichaiekkawat (appointed), Yutthana Thaiphakdee (appointed), Charin Harnsuebsai (tak) and Sinchai Thungthong (Uthai Thani).
The group issued its demand in four points as:
1) The people and government agencies must heed His Majesty the King’s speech delivered on his birthday.
2) The government and protesters must avoid provoking each other and must instigate hatred among people as well as avoiding violence.
3) The government and all protest groups must reduce violence and must hold negotiations to find solutions for the country.
4) The government, Parliament, courts, constitutional-sanctioned organisations, educational institutions and all walks of life must jointly find out how to reform the country.
