DSI to press sedition charges against more PDRC leaders

Department of Special Investigation (DSI) chief Tarit Pengdith said yesterday that the department would on Monday press charges of sedition against some 30 or so second-tier leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee.

These leaders included academics, former MPs and political activists who have gone on stage at the rally and led protesters to storm into government offices. The list of those who will be charged includes former National Institute of Development Administration dean Sombat Thamrongthanyawong; Democrat Party deputy spokesman Chitpas Bhirombhakdi; and Dr Seri Wongmontha.
The DSI had earlier issued orders to freeze and investigate assets held by PDRC leaders.
