Suthep warns red-shirt leaders of 'popcorn vendors'

Suthep Thaugsuban told the Silom rally that the protesters would hound caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra no matter where she might go.
He said the protesters would only surround the prime minister without touching her.
“If she runs down protesters while trying to escape, we will sue her. Now her days are numbered,” Suthep said.
He said the protesters would also rally at all business sites of the Shinatwatra family, such as Mlink and Voice TV.
He said the PDRC would spare the Rama IX Hospital and Shinawatra University.
“But we will render other businesses of Shinawatras bankrupt because these businesses defy the people’s power,” Suthep said.
He said the caretaker government could survive because of its money so the PDRC would try to disrupt its financial sources.
Suthep also urged his supporters to stop using AIS mobile phone services even though InTouch group, which runs AIS, earlier stated that the Shinawatra family no longer had shares in the group.
Regarding the announcement by red-shirt leaders that they would lead red-shirt people to confront the PDRC protesters, Suthep indicated that the red shirts might face attacks by unknown gunmen.
“They should come because popcorn vendors have made popcorn for them,” Suthep said, referring to the gunmen at the clash between the red shirts and PDRC protesters before election day. The clash saw some gunmen covering their rifles with popcorn bags.
“Natthawut Saikuar and Jatuporn Promphan should really come … I don’t know these popcorn vendors but I really love them.”
Suthep also thanked the Civil Court for ruling on Wednesday that the government could not invoke the emergency decree to crack down on protesters.
He said that following the ruling, the protesters could freely rally in as high a number as they wished.
Suthep said he also planned to sue the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order for ordering the crackdown at Phan Fah bridge on Tuesday, causing four protesters to be killed and scores of injuries.
