Pheu Thai to notify IPU that NACC interfered Thai parliamentary affairs

A Pheu Thai Party candidate will notify the Inter-Parliamentary Union that the National Anti-Corruption Commission had allegedly interfered in the Thai parliamentary affairs by probing 308 senators and former MPs over a charter amendment.

Kusumalwati Sirikomut, a Pheu Thai party-list candidate, said the party had resolved to send her and former MP Charuphan Kuldilok and Bangkok candidate Phuwanida Khunpalin to Geneva in the middle of this month.
They will notify the IPU in Geneva about the probe against 308 senators and former MPs related to the charter amendment on the composition of the Senate.
Kusumalwati said the delegation would inform the IPU that MPs and senators had full authority to amend the charter and the NACC had no authority to probe the case.
She added that the delegation that parliamentarians did not accept independent organisations set up by the 2006 coup makers.
