One boy killed as game gets dangerous

A bomb fished up from the Moei River exploded on the Myanmar side Friday, killing one boy and injuring two others.

The young victims were immediately sent to the Mae Ramat Hospital in Tak province on the border. Yet, despite medical assistance, the 11-year-old boy, known only as Suvan, succumbed to injuries. The other two injured boys are Watcharapong, 12, and Saokham, nine.
Initial police investigation revealed that the three boys had gone fishing and were splashing about in water when Saokham found the bomb. He then asked his older brother Watcharapong to pick it up and while playing, one of the boys accidentally dropped the bomb before it exploded.
