Ruling this month on Phaya Thai election officials

Ruling this month on Phaya Thai election officials

The Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) is expected to rule on a case against the election committee of Phaya Thai district in Bangkok before the end of this month.

“A PACC subcommittee has already interrogated most witnesses,” PACC secretary general Pravesana Mulpramook disclosed yesterday.
He said 132 complaints had been lodged with the PACC in relation to election committees’ failure to organise the February 2 election.
Several polling units were unable to operate on that day because officials did not show up to collect ballot boxes and ballots, or officials suddenly tendered their resignation, or EC officials abandoned polling units.
Of the 132 complaints, 95 are in the process of preliminary probes. “The rest have already entered trial process,” Pravesana said.
