Court rules it has no mandate to appoint new PM in seven days

The Constitutional Court ruled Wednesday that it has no mandate to order the appointment of a new prime minister within seven days.

The request for the court to order the new PM’s appointment was made by Senator Paibul Nititawan during the trial on Tuesday. Paibul was the one who filed the abuse of power suit against caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
