The district is busy this week residents and tourist celebrate Hari Raya marking the end of Ramadan, which takes place today.

Several Malaysian tourists arrived in Hat Yai on Monday morning to celebrate Hari Raya.
More security officers and traffic police have been deployed to checkpoints and are patrolling business areas and tourist sites in Hat Yai and Sadao districts, the provincial seat, as well as in the three southernmost provinces bordering Malaysia to boost public confidence.
According to Surapol Kampalanonwat, Songkhla Tourism Business Association chairman, hotel rooms in Hat Yai are fully booked through Thursday by both Thai and Malaysian tourists.
More than 40,000 visitors were expected to spend the Hari Raya holidays in the province, generating at least Bt100 million, Surapol said, adding that the local tourism industry had not been affected by Friday's car bomb attack in Yala’s Betong district.
