Doctor in surrogacy case seeks more time

Pisit is scheduled to meet the police today to hear the charges levelled against him. However, his lawyer told the police yesterday that the clinic owner wanted a 30-day respite so he could take care of his father, who is undergoing cancer treatment. 
The doctor also wants to find himself a new lawyer. 
Police, however, have only agreed to offer an extension until Wednesday and if Pisit fails to turn up on that day, an arrest warrant will be sought for him, Decha said. 
Meanwhile, the Wieng Chiang Rung Police Station in Chiang Rai province reported the existence of another surrogate mother, though she is unable to provide testimony as she has recently given birth.
Two other surrogate mothers cannot be contacted, as the one who lived in Pathum Thani province has reportedly moved to an unknown address in Chon Buri province, while the other one who lives in Chon Buri is unreachable.
