Customs seized illegally imported Thai Rice

The Bureau of Customs in their statement said, they seized an estimated 1,250 metric tons (1.25 million kilograms) of white rice that arrived in the country without the required import permits.
The rice, stocked in 25,000 sacks containing 50 kilograms each, was transported in fifty 20-foot containers and has an estimated market value of about 50 million Philippine Pesos (892,857 euros or about 1.14 million US dollars).
