220,000 matters resolved by Damrongdharma

The Ministry of Interior said yesterday that more than 200,000 complaints filed by the public to Damrongdharma Centres have been concluded over the past four months.

According to an Inspection and Grievances Bureau report the Central region had the most complaints followed by the North and Northeast, while people from the South filed the least number of complaints.
The Damrongdharma Centre was backed by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to receive complaints made by people in provincial regions. Staff at these centres have been providing people with information, plus helping with external debt cases and trying to find solutions to their problems.
Damrongdhama Centres around the country have been working on complaints since August 18, with people filing more than 220,000 complaints to provincial offices and the central office in Bangkok. Of these, about 154,000 cases have been cleared, with all but 100 of 20,800 requests for information dealt with.
There had been about 8,500 requests for advice and all of them cleared, while mobile units had received about 1,000 cases. A further 900 of more than 1,000 cases concerning “external debt” have been cleared. All up, more than 199,000 cases had been resolved.
Meanwhile, the report showed there were some 73,000 cases in the Central region, plus 55,000 cases in the North, another 21,000 cases filed in the Northeast and 3,200 cases in the South.
The rest were filed by people living in Bangkok.
