NRC endorses proposal to require mobile phone operators to charge by second
The National Reform Council Tuesday voted 211: 7 to approve a proposal that requires mobile phone operators to collect fees based on real usage by seconds, instead of rounding up the seconds into minutes.
The proposal was sent to the NRC by its committee on consumer protection reform. Seven NRC members abstained. The issue will now be sent to the National Council for Peace and Order and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.
