Three Hmong students win
Three hilltribe youngsters won a national debate in the English language as part of a project to prepare for the integration of the Asean Economic Community. The contest was held in Bangkok from Thursday to Sunday.
The Hmong youngsters – Wathanyu Charoenthongmankong, 14; and 15-year-olds Natcha Charoenmankong and Paveena Archakiri – come from Pamai Uthit School under the Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 1.
The contest was judged by native speakers, who unanimously voted for the three winners, much to the delight of their families, schools and their English-language teachers, Heman Yauthai and Win-orn Muang-ngam.
