Mae Fah Luang University plants 300-rai Sakura trees

The Mae Fah Luang University plans to grow some 16,000 Sakura trees on a 300-rai plot in the university's compound in Chiang Rai to honour Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Assoc Prof Dr Wanchai Sirichana, the university rector, said 6,000 Sakura trees have been planted and 10,000 more will be planted soon. The trees are expected to be in full bloom in three years, he said.
