Academy Award film Ida returns to Bangkok

Ida, the 2015 Academy Award and BAFTA best foreign language film winner, will be screened once again in Bangkok at the annual CU International Film Festival 2015, Poland Embassy in Bangkok announced.

The film festival is hosted by the Department of Dramatic Arts, Chulalongkorn University.
The critically-acclaimed Polish drama depicts the story of a novice nun in 1960’s who embarks on a journey in the secular world upon discovering that she is Jewish.  Directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, the film uncovers the painful truths in Poland during the wartime while portraying the eerie yet compelling beauty of contemplation among the changes.
Ida was previously screened in January, 2015, at the Polish Film Festival in Bangkok - a collaboration between Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Polish Film Institute, Polish Filmmakers Association, V. Active and SF World Cinema.
The CU International Film Festival will kick off with Ida on March 9 at 5pm at Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Chulalongkorn University. No admission fee.
