Suthichai, NMG executives report to police
Nation Multimedia Group chairman Suthichai Yoon Thursday led a team of NGM executives to report to the Talat Phlu police station to deny libel charges levelled against them.
Suthichai joined NMG chief executive officer Duangkamol Chotana, and Krungthep Turakij publisher Chakkrish Permpool to meet the police.
On February 18, Solution Corner (1998) (SLC), which has since renamed itself News Network Corporation, filed libel and computer crimes complaints against the three executives and Krungthep Turakij online news editor and website administrator Nitirad Boonyo as well as one of the group’s companies in relation to articles published in Krungthep Turakij.
Suthichai said he and the executives met the police in line with the legal procedure and to deny all the charges.
He said the NMG executives and NMG staffs were ready to fight the charges by basing the fight on the right principle under the legal framework and media ethics.
