Quake in Myanmar has no impact on Thailand

An earthquake in Myanmar on Tuesday morning has no impact on Thailand, said Mineral Resources Department.

Suwit Kosuwan, director of the Active Fault Research Division, said that the 5.6-Magnitude quake, which occurred at 8.27am in Myanmar, is located 171 kilometers away from Khun Yuam district of Mae Hong Son province.
The Department of Mineral Resources will continue to monitor as it is a regular precaution measure despite no report of injuries or damage in Thailand.
