Chaiyaphum Governor Napa Sakuntanakrong said that on January 27, residents had signed a memorandum of understanding to have schoolgirls refrain from wearing short skirts or trousers on religious holidays, and wear sinh instead. They also campaigned for alms to be offered to monks once a month at the city hall, she said. 
The province has also implemented the “Five Precepts Village” campaign at 42 pilot villages. The province has a total of 1,700 villages.
