Thai students to get a taste of Irish university life

Thai students to get a taste of Irish university life

Thanks to a forum organised by the Irish Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thai students who wish to study in Ireland can get a glimpse at the unique opportunities offered by world-renowned Irish educational institutions.

With a view to showcasing the welcoming and student-friendly Irish culture, the inaugural Education Committee will take place on September 29 in Bangkok to promote Irish universities among Thai scholars.
The main focus of the event is to create more awareness among Thais of Ireland and its benefits as a study destination.
The only English-speaking country in the Eurozone, Ireland is home to some of the most respected universities in the world, including the world famous Trinity College in Dublin. The country currently hosts 35,000 international students from 161 countries.
Brendan Rogers, the Irish ambassador to Thailand, will be the main speaker at the forum.
Thai alumni who have studied in Ireland will provide inquisitive Thai students with their first-hand experience of Irish education, lifestyle and culture from a Thai point of view.
The committee will cover a range of topics, including the benefits of studying in Ireland and the Thai perception of Ireland and the Irish. It will also include a questions and answers session, and participants can win prizes in a free raffle draw. The event will be held at 6pm on Floor 29 of Two Pacific Place Building on Sukhumvit Road (BTS Nana, Exit 2).
