SSO chief dismisses rumours on rise in contribution
Labour Ministry's permanent secretary Boontharik Samiti Thursday dismissed rumours that the Social Security Office (SSO) would increase subscribers' contributions from October 20 onwards.
In her capacity as chair of the SSO board, Boontharik said the new rate was one of the many options the SSO was considering to boost the SSO fund. The current rate is a contribution of Bt750 for every Bt15,000 earned, but it has been rumoured that this contribution would be hiked to Bt1,000.
