SSO chief dismisses talk of rise in contribution
Labour Ministry permanent secretary Boontharik Samiti yesterday dismissed rumours that the Social Security Office (SSO) would increase subscribers' contributions from October 20 onwards.
In her capacity as chairwoman of the SSO board, Boontharik said the new rate was one of the many options the SSO was considering to boost the SSO fund.
The current rate is a contribution of Bt750 for people who earn Bt15,000 or above, but it has been rumoured that this contribution would be raised to Bt1,000.
