Myanmar's USDP vice president safe

Myanmar's Union Election Commission announced another batch of election results, confirming the National League for Democracy's winning of additional 45 Lower House seats from 67 seats.

The ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party won another 9 seats. Among its winning candidates is Vice President Nyan Tun. The party’s co-chairman Htay Oo and former chairman Thura Shwe Mann were defeated.

From the results released at 6pm, Shan Nationalities League for Democracy won another 7 seats. Three seats also go to Arakan National Party.
