Fishereries officers clash with fishermen in Pattani

Five fisheries officers in Pattani Nong Chik District clashed with the local fishermen when the officers tried to arrest some fishermen for having allegeldy used illegal fishing equipment last Friday.
The five officers,  led by Chief Pattani Fisheries Officer Ismail Isman were surrounded by the angry fishermen after they tried to arrest a group of fishermen.
 
The fishermen fought back by using hammers and wooden sticks to smash the officers' boat and tried to attack the officers with knifes. The officers suffered minor injuries and had to aborted mission.
 
Ismail has already gathered the evidences to file a complaint with police to arrest the fishermen.
