Court issues arrest warrants for six Rajabhakti activists

THE BANGKOK military court Wednesday approved arrest warrants for the six activists who were intercepted on their way to Rajabhakti Park on December 7 over charges of violating the National Council for Peace and Order's ban on gatherings of five or more

The warrants were issued after the court had received evidences from Thon Buri Railway Police, who had summoned 11 activists related to the case twice, on December 22 and January 8, a source said.
Only five of the activists have so far reported to police, the source said, adding that the rest did appear at the police station but did not give themselves in.
The six activists facing arrest are members of the New Democracy Movement, namely Sirawith Seritiwat, Cholticha Jaengrew, Chanoknan Ruamsap, Korakoch Saengyenpan, Apisit Sapnapapan and Thanet Anantawong.
