Thailand this year ranked 33rd out of 156 nations in the world’s happiest countries survey conducted by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The happiness ranking of Thailand was one place up on 2015,
Top of the happiness list was Denmark while Burundi was ranked as the least happy country in the world.
The happiest country in Asean was Singapore (22), followed by Thailand.
The result of the survey of the world’s happiest countries was published in the fourth World Happiness Report and released on Wednesday.
The survey was prepared by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, an international panel of social scientists that includes economists, psychologists and public health experts convened by the United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon.
Denmark topped the list in the first report, in 2012, and again in 2013, but was displaced by Switzerland last year.
