Chula park to open soon

Chula park to open soon

A public park to promote the mutual co-existence between humans and the nature will be coming to service under the Chulalongkorn University’s initiative for its 100th anniversary.

The university, one of Thailand’s most prestigious higher-educational institutes, will turn 100 years old next year.
“It will be a gift from us to the public,” the university’s president Prof Dr Pirom Kamolratanakul said earlier this week.
Spanning over nearly 30 rai of land between Soi Chula 9 to Bantadthong Road, the 100th Anniversary of Chula Park is scheduled to open its doors to the public on March 26 next year. Not only that it will add green space to the country but it will also serve as a learning centre about how humans can live in harmony with the nature.
The university’s vice president Assoc Prof Group Captain Dr Permyot Kesolbhand said inside the park would be a multipurpose building for exhibitions and learning activities. Many of its rooms will be equipped with learning facilities such as artificial wetland, water-retention area, and bicycle lanes too.
