Pheu Thai politician ‘not found’ for another ‘attitude adjustment’ session

Pheu Thai politician ‘not found’ for another ‘attitude adjustment’ session

Military officers visited the home of Pheu Thai Party politician Watana Muangsuk yesterday with the plan to detain him for another “attitude adjustment” session, but he was not home.

Lt-Colonel Somporn Tophab, from the 21st Infantry Regiment of the Royal Guards, visited Watana’s home in Bangkok’s Prawet district along with officials from the Judge Advocate General’s Department. Upon arrival, a maid told them that Watana was not home and that she did not know of his whereabouts.
Somporn then tried to call Watana, but in vain.
He told reporters at the scene that Watana had told the military to pick him up at his home yesterday afternoon, adding that he was unaware of reports that the politician wanted to be picked up on Monday because he wanted to spend Songkran with his family.
The Army decided to pull Watana in for a second attitude adjustment session after he publicly voiced his opposition to the draft charter.
Somporn said he would wait until Watana returned home, and that it would be up to his supervisor to decide if further action should be taken against the politician for not meeting the authorities.
