Electricity use hits new record
Electricity consumption hit a new high at 28,475.3 megawatt today, the third peak so far this year.
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand said that power peak occurred at 2.53pm when the average temperature across the nation was at 36.6 degrees Celcius. All sectors - residential, industrial and service - reported higher use of electricity today.
Power demand has peaked three times so far this year. The first occured on April 6 and the second on April 19.
