AirAsia group chief welcomes King Power CEO's cooperation
AirAsia group chief Tony Fernandes on Tuesday tweeted a welcome message for Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, founder and CEO of King Power Duty Free to AirAsia family.
The duty free operator has taken a 39-per-cent controlling stake in Asia Aviation (AAV), the operator of Thailand’s largest budget airline Thailand, Thai AirAsia, from the carrier’s chief executive Tassapon Bijleveld and two of his family members in a deal worth more than Bt7.9 billion.
Tony who is also owner of UK football team QPR also made a light humor that he may borrow some Thai monks to bless his side. Vichai and Tassapon will hold a press conference today to talk about the business plan at 10.30am at the King Power Headquarters.
