Former minister Banyin arrested on murder charge

Former deputy commerce minister Banyin Tangpakorn was arrested at a resort in Nakhon Ratchasima's Pak Chong district on Tuesday morning in relation to the death of billionaire Chuwong Sae Tang, an informed source said.

Pol Gen Thitirat Nonghanpithak, commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, has assigned a team led by Crime Suppression Division superintendent Pol Colonel Jirapop Phuridej to arrest Banyin on charges of premeditated murder to conceal other crime of taking ill-gotten benefits. 
Banyin was found with stock broker Uracha Wachirakulton at the resort.
The Bangkok court issued an arrest warrant against Banyin on Monday. The police press conference on this arrest will be announced at the Crime Suppression Division at 1pm Tuesday.
Construction tycoon Chuwong, 50, was found dead in the front passenger seat of a Lexus sport utility vehicle that Banyin drove and collided with a roadside tree in Bangkok's Prawet district on June 26, 2015. 
The billionaire's family's complaint over the suspicious death especially the point that Chuwong's shares worth about Bt260 millions were transferred to two women on June 8 and 22 before the accident led to the police investigation.
