Dhammakaya affiliate found occupying land illegally
World Peace Valley, affiliated with the Dhammakaya Temple, has been found to be illegally occupying 187 rai in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Pairoj Buanuam, a land official in Nakhon Ratchasima, disclosed Wednesday that investigation showed that World Peace Valley occupied 480 rai of land, but only had land-rights documents for 293 rai.
According to him, all these plots are inside the Lam Takhong self-sufficient community, which uses its land plots for agricultural purposes only.
“The Social Development and Human Security Ministry will have to look into this case too. It is in charge of this community,” Pairoj said.
