Thai cabbie returns 800,000 yen to Japanese businessman
Bangkok - A Thai taxi driver returned 800,000 yen (7,790 US dollars) and other belongings to a Japanese businessman after he left his backpack in the boot of the car, a media report said Thursday.
The driver found the bag while cleaning up the back of his taxi and took the belongings to a local police station.
According to Traffic Police Radio FM91, the Japanese man had delayed returning to Japan in hopes that someone would return his belongings.
He gave the taxi driver 5,000 baht (142 US dollars) as a reward.
