Military court orders unconditional release of 13 activists

The Military Court Tuesday rejected police’s request to extend the detention of 13 “pro-democracy” students and activists, resulting in their unconditional release.

Their lawyer, Kritsadang Nutcharas, said the 13 students and activists will be released from the Bangkok Remand Prison Wednesday as the first detention order will expire at midnight Tuesday.
The 13 were accused of violating the coup order against holding political rally with more than five participants.
The lawyer from the Neo Democracy Movement said the court agreed with the suspects that the investigators had no reason for detaining them pending further investigations.
