69-year-old man arrested in Bangkok for tearing ballot

A 69-year-old man was arrested at a Bangkok polling station after he tore a ballot apparently out of misunderstanding.

The man was identified as Pipat Paesuwanrat who lives on Soi Pracha-uthit 72 in Thung Khruri district.
He mark the ballot and tore it into parts and handed them to a polling station official.
He was handed over the polling station chief who questioned the man and found that he misunderstood that the ballot had to be torn before it would be handed back to officials.
He was taken to the Thung Khuru police station for further legal action.
