Government to pay medical expenses
The government will pay all medical expenses for all people injured in the bomb and arson attacks in major tourist cities in the south from August 11-12, Public Health Ministry Permanent Secretary Sophon Mekthon said on Sunday.
Fourteen Thais and eight foreigners are receiving medical treatment in hospitals, one has been discharged.
“All patients are in stable condition and looked after closely by medical personnel,’’ Sophon said.
The ministry has also dispatched mental health teams to provide mental rehabilitation for families of those who were killed in the attacks, he said.
