Test-run Klong Phadung boat service starts Monday
A test run for a boat service in Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem will start Monday, a City Hall official said.
The first 5-km long shuttle boat service will provide rides from Bangkok Railway Station or Hua Lampong to Thewet Pier, Suthon Anakul, deputy director of Traffic and Transportation Department (TTD) at Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) said on Sunday.
During the trial service, the boat ride will be free of charge. At the beginning, there will be four boats for the service and the BMA plans to add six boats more, he said.
The boat service will begin in the morning from 6am – 9am and in the evening from 4 pm- 8pm on weekday and from 8am – 8pm on weekend.
