Family of tragic star ‘Por’ saddened by vandal attack on plaque placed beside memorial pagoda
The father of late actor Tridsadee 'Por' Sahawong said that he was saddened by the incident on Thursday in which an unknown vandal destroyed a granite plate displaying Por’s picture and name on a small pagoda containing his remains at Wat Thammatheerara
Por died from to complications arising from dengue fever on January 18, a few days before his 36th birthday.
The actor’s father, Sanguan Sahawong, said Por had never harmed anyone during this life and this attack had hurt the family’s feelings.
Buri Ram police commander Pol Maj-General Chattawat Saengphetch led officers to inspect the scene and collect fingerprints and blood samples, as well as a steel bar believed to have been used to smash the memorial.
Although the motive for the attack remained unknown, Chattawat revealed that there were previous incidents in which unknown persons smashed holy items at the city shrine, a public park and several temples.
