Two taxi motorcyclists surrender following assault incident

Bangkok's Bang Sue Police is investigating the viral video clip in which some motorcycle taximen attacked a man who tried to stop them from using a bicycle lane near Chatuchak Green Market.

So far two suspects were summoned to hear a charge, said acting Metropolitan Police chief Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn Saturday.
Sanit said police probe found the incident took place on September 3 at 4pm and he instructed Bang Sue superintendent Pol Colonel Panudech Sukwong to investigate the case.
He said Piyapong Phochan, 27, and Somsak Pongkularp, 42, had met police adn admitted that they attacked the man as seen in the clip.
The duo claimed they were upset with the victim's scolding them, Sanit said adding that the duo initially faced the traffic violation charge while the police would have to get the damaged person's medical examination result to file the additional assault charge.
