The libel suit stemmed from comments Yuttapong had made at press conference during the Abhisit Vejjajiva administration.
During the Civil Court trial on Monday, Yuttapong, who was deputy minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives in the Yingluck Shinawatra administration, said he regretted his remarks and apologised to Kiat hence the plaintiff decided not to pursue the defamation suit.
